This country has died a little bit.
Many people have died as well.

When the homeland rises again,
The people will rise with it too

We won't let our lands be stolen anymore

We will plant trees in place
Of those that were cut down.

This country has died a little.
Many people shut their eyes to the sight
Of the Magyar race dwindling.
The rivers cry all the way
To the Carpathian Basin
I do too - I cry a little too.

This country has died, and many people died in it
But we haven't, have we?
We will still fight regardless
When the nation rises anew
Its people and light rise with it too
